Homemade pizzas are cheap and healthier, compare to the store bought one. My veggie pizza is loaded with fresh veggies and cheese with homemade pizza sauce. There are so many pizza joints in India, but each restaurant has its unique taste and flavor, my personal favorite is cheese burst pizza from domino’s, I tried that recipe also, will post the cheese burst pizza recipe as soon as possible.

Ingredients:-
For pizza base:- | |
All purpose flour / maida | 3 cups |
Yeast | 3 tsp |
Water | 360 ml |
Olive oil/butter | 2 tbsp |
Salt | 3 tsp |
Sugar | 3 tsp |
For sauce:- | |
Tomatoes | 8 |
Olive oil / oil | 4 tbsp |
Garlic | 20 clove |
Basil | 1 tsp |
Oregano | 1 tsp |
Pepper | 1 tsp |
Sugar | pinch |
Salt | as per your taste |
For toppings:- | |
Mozzarella cheese | 1 cup |
Cheddar cheese | 1 cup |
Onion | 2 |
Tomato | 2 |
Capsicum | 1 |
Green / black olives | handful |
Frozen sweet corn | 250 grams |
Mushroom | 100 grams |
Procedure:-
The following recipe will make 4 medium pizza’s.
For the dough :-
In a bowl add water and place it on the medium heat, the water should be warm to touch,switch off the stove and sprinkle yeast , sugar over the yeast, cover the yeast bowl with plastic wrap or towel and allow it to rest for 10 minutes.After 10 minutes the yeast should be creamy and frothy,if not discard the mixture and start again. In a another bowl add all purpose flour / maida along with salt, whisk it and keep it aside. Once the yeast is ready, make well in the center of the flour and add the yeast liquid , don’t add any water this should be more then enough,knead the dough for 15 minutes, after 15 minutes the dough look sticky now add olive oil / butter and knead for another 5 minutes , if the dough stick to your hand sprinkle some more flour. Divide the dough into 4 equal part and place the each ball in the separate oiled bowl, now cover the bowl with plastic wrap / towel and allow it rest for 1 hour,after 1 hour the dough should be doubled in size.
For pizza sauce:-
Place a wide pan in medium heat , add olive oil , garlic cloves, followed by fully ripened tomatoes cut into quarters, stir it once and allow the tomatoes to roast. Once it done add hand full of fresh basil leaves (if you can’t find ,use dry basil )and big pinch of dried oregano, pepper, sugar and salt to taste, fry well . Take off the flame and allow it to cool completely , add this tomato mixture in the blender and blend into smooth paste and keep it aside.
For toppings:-
Grate mozzarella and cheddar cheese and keep it aside.
Slice few mushrooms, dice and peel onion, green olives as per your taste,handful of frozen sweet corns and other veggies of your choice.
Making Pizza :-
Once the dough is doubled in volume carefully peel the plastic wrap and place it on the baking tray , gently press little and make into round shape , apply the prepared pizza sauce, sprinkle the two grated cheese, add the veggies and season it with pepper and dried basil and oregano.Bake it in the pre-heated oven at 200-degree c for 15-20 minutes and serve
