Strawberry mousse

Strawberries are in the season, it’s is the best time to preserve them. Make this homemade strawberry compote / jam and it last for months in the refrigerator or you can store it in the freezer to last for year, here I’m making Strawberry mousse using just 3 ingredients. Its is easiest dessert, you can prepare it ahead of time and store it in the fridge, let’s see the procedure,

Ingredients:-

For strawberry compote / jam:-

Strawberry400 grams
Sugar100-150 grams
Vinegarsplash

For strawberry mousse:-

whipping cream200 ml
Strawberry jam / compoteas per your taste

Procedure:-

For strawberry compote/jam:-

place a heavy bottom pan in a medium heat and add around 400 grams of washed and sliced strawberry’s ,let it cook for about 10-15 minutes in medium flame stir occasionally,it leave lots of water,once the water evaporate add the sugar (it depends on the fruit and taste if it’s too tart add extra sugar,if its sweet add less)and a splash of vinegar ,stir it well and cook until the mixture become thick,switch off the flame and keep it aside once it came to room temperature store it in an air tight container and place it in the fridge,it will stay for months.

For strawberry mousse:-

In a large bowl add the whipping cream and blend well until it forms stiff peaks and place it in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes.
Add the prepared strawberry jam in the whipped cream and fold in gently,serve it chilled and garnish it with mint leaves and some more compote.
