Paneer Manchurian

Paneer Manchurian is an Indian Chinese recipe, fried paneer added to the spicy Manchurian sauce. There are many types of Manchurian like cauliflower, baby corn, mushroom, Idly and so…on… Paneer Manchurian is absolute hit, its soft in center , spicy and juicy on the outside is best for this cold weather, it goes well with fried rice / Hakka noodles.

For deep-frying :-

Paneer / cottage cheese 250 grams
Maida / all-purpose flour ½ cup
Corn flour 1 tbsp
Chickpea flour / besan ¼th cup
Salt to taste
Ginger garlic paste  1 tbsp
Chili powder to taste

For Manchurian sauce:-

Garlic 2
Ginger 4 inch piece
Onion 1
Green chili 2
Onion 1 cut into cubes
Capsicum 10 pieces
Soya sauce 3 tbsp
Tomato ketchup 2 tbsp
Sugar ¼th tsp
Salt & pepper to taste
Spring onion for garnishing
Oil 2 tsp
Corn flour 1 tbsp


Pre-heat the oil for deep-frying, cut the paneer into 2 inch pieces, now add the flour and other ingredients and mix well make it into pancake / idly batter consistency by adding enough water, dip the paneer one at a time and deep fry them in medium hot oil and reserve it.
Place a wide pan on medium heat add chopped ginger and garlic in the pre-heated oil and fry for minute then add onion, green chilies and fry well. Add the cubed onion and capsicum fry for a minute, add the sauce. Add water and bring it boil, in a bowl mix corn flour with water mix well and add into the pan, add salt and sugar and pepper powder add the deep-fried paneer pieces. Now garnish it with spring onions and serve it with fried rice / Hakka noodles.
