Mudda kudumulu / undrallu
In our family we call this recipe as Mudda kudumulu but Andhra people call them as undrallu and they do only on Ganesha chaturthi. We often make them as breakfast, this steam balls are loaded with grated coconut and chana dal, it’s really lite on your tummy, it goes well with Urad dal coconut chutney or with jaggery.

Ingredients:-
Rice rava | 2 cups |
Chana dal | 2 tbsp |
Grated fresh coconut | 50 grams |
Salt | to taste |
Water | 4 cups |
Ghee | 1 tsp |
Procedure:-
First soak the chana dal in the water for 20 minutes, place a wide pan on medium heat add ghee, soaked dal and fry for few seconds. Now add the water and salt, cover the pan with its lid and let it come to rolling boil, now add the grated coconut and rice rava and cook till it become upma consistency. Switch off the flame and allow the mixture to come to room temperature, make them into small balls and press it lightly and place it on the greased idly plates and steam it for 10 minutes, tasty Mudda kudumulu / undrallu is ready, serve it with spicy urad dal coconut chutney .
