M&M cookies or Gems cookies are filled with sugar-coated milk chocolate candy. I brought this candies in bulk, they taste similar to the Gems. Most of the candy store got this candies at an affordable price. I brought it from baker’s mart. The cookies are so tasty, they are crispy on the edges and soft at the middle. Kids love these cookies. This recipe is adapted from Allrecipes, will provide the link in the below. You will get around 2 dozens medium size mm cookies out of this recipe.
Let’s see the procedure for M&M cookies,

|All purpose flour||2½ cups|
|Brown sugar||1 cup|
|Vanilla extract||1 ½ tsp|
|Baking powder||1 tsp|
|M&M’s / Gems||1 ½ cup|
Blitz both the sugar and keep it aside.
In a large add the unsalted softened butter, powdered sugars, eggs and vanilla extract, using electric hand blender whisk it well.
Now add the flour, salt and baking powder and whisk it in low-speed. Don’t over mix the dough, whisk it for 20-30 seconds.
Add the M&M’s / Gems and fold in gently.
Now line a baking paper / butter paper / parchment paper on the cookie tray.
Using two spoons place the dough on the prepared cookie tray, these cookies tend to spread, so place the dough accordingly.
Wet your hands and gently smooth the cookie top and add few more candies over it.
Bake it in the pre-heated oven at 170 ° C for about 10-11 minutes, turn the tray after 5 minutes, for even baking.
The cookies are done once it starts to turn little brown on the edges.
Take the cookie tray out of the oven and gently lift the parchment paper and place it on the wire rack.
Allow it to cool naturally, serve the cookies with milk.
Line the air tight container with tissue paper and place the cookies inside it, it will keep the cookies fresh for long time.
Note:- For egg less version, reduce the sugar and add 50 ml of condensed milk or add 50 ml of fresh curd / yogurt.
