Ivy gourd fry is so popular in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, దొండకాయ in Telugu, கோவைக்காய் in Tamil and tindora in Hindi, it look like baby cucumbers, It’s one of my childhood recipe, now it became my kids favorite. It is a simple recipe, slicing the ivy gourd is the only time consuming in this recipe.

Ingredients :-
Ivy gourd | 1 kg |
Oil | 4 tsp |
Mustard seeds | ½ tsp |
Salt | to taste |
Chili powder | 2 tsp |
Method:-
Wash and slice the ivy gourd into thick pieces, Place a wide pan/kadai on a medium heat, once the oil is hot enough add the mustard seeds, wait for few seconds to pop the mustard seeds, add the ivy gourd and fry for 4-5 minutes, add the salt and chili powder and again fry until each slices are crispy. Once it done serve it with dal rice/sambar rice/rasam rice.
