Let’s see the procedure for Chocolate donut,

[recipe title=”Chocolate donut” servings=”4-5″ time=”60mins” difficulty=”medium”]

All purpose flour / maida1 cup
Egg (optional)1
Milk powder3 tbsp
Salt½ tsp
Yeast1 tsp
Sugar1 tsp
Water120 ml
Dark and white chocolatefor glazing
Oilfor deep-frying

Procedure :-

This recipe adapted from Vahchef –Sanjay Thumma :-

In a bowl add warm water, sprinkle the yeast with sugar.Cover it with plastic wrap and leave it for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes the yeast mixture should look frothy if doesn’t discard it and start the process again. In a bowl add all-purpose flour/maida, milk powder, salt. Mix it and make a well in the center and add the frothy yeast mixture, and egg and knead for 10 minutes, the dough should be sticky and messy.

In a floured surface place the sticky dough and knead for another 5 minutes add 1 tbsp of oil and knead another 5 minutes and place the dough in the oiled bowl and cover the bowl with the plastic wrap and leave it for 1 hour. Once the dough is doubled in size, carefully place the dough on the floured surface and gently press it and make it into a 1 inch thick and cut into doughnut shape and again allow it to rest for 30 minutes, now place a pan on medium heat and add oil for deep frying, once the oil is hot enough gently slide in the prepared doughnut and deep fry it, till its golden. Don’t overcrowd the pan, fry one at a time. Decorate the doughnuts with melted chocolate/ roll them in cinnamon sugar and serve.
