Here is my valentine’s day cake. Black forest cake, rich chocolate cake filled with soft whipped cream and cherries ….decorated with chocolate shavings. Everyone loved it. We usually order this black forest cake from bakery for special occasions, now I made this cake at my home, feeling really proud and happy. It’s really a fool-proof recipe. I added oil to this cake to make it soft and tender. You can use butter also.
Let’s see the procedure,

|All purpose flour||¾th cup|
|Cocoa powder||¼th cup|
|Baking powder||1 tsp|
|Whipping cream||1 liter|
|Chocolate||100 grams chopped|
In a large bowl add oil, vinegar and powdered sugar blend everything well. Now add eggs one at a time and blend. Sift in all-purpose flour/maida, coco powder, baking powder. Add the dry ingredients into the egg mixture and blend it in low speed.Grease the baking pan and line it with parchment paper,pour the prepared batter in the mold and bake it in the pre-heated oven at 180 degree c for 35-40 minutes.
FOR ICING AND FILLING:-
Drain the water from the cherry can and deseed the cherries and keep it aside.
In a large bowl add the whipping cream and blend it till it forms stiff peaks and keep it aside.
Using peeler peel the dark chocolate and keep it aside.
Chop the dark chocolate and add them in a bowl pour the hot milk over the chopped chocolate and keep it aside. After few minutes whisk the chocolate till its melt and keep it aside.
FOR ASSEMBLING CAKE:-
The cake should be at room temperature, slice them in three/two parts, place the first slice of cake on a plate and add sufficient amount of whipped cream and spread it well, now add the pitted cherries as per your taste and cover it with another slice of cake, repeat the process(if needed brush your cake with the drained cherry water).
cover the cake with the whipping cream and decorate it with chocolate shavings and with chocolate ganache. And serve.
